North of Sixty: An Arctic Celebration!

  |   Updates
A five-member North of Sixty expedition team led by Doering recently pulked more than 100 miles through Arctic wilderness between the remote communities of Qikiqtarjuaq and Pangnirtung on the Baffin Island in Nunavut, Canada. The team also visited schools and interviewed elders during their travels, working to create a tapestry of video stories that document the changing climate and culture of the region. The project has been attracting much media attention, with daily updates from Doering on the Weather Channel during the expedition, and coverage by local and national media within Canada and the United States.
