Ever-expanding international collaborations
Doering’s international collaborations continue to expand around the world. Previous work with Christo Van der Westhuizen and the Faculty of Educational Sciences at North-West University (NWU) in Potchefstroom, South Africa, has led to the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MOU) between the LT Media Lab and College of Education and Human Development (CEHD) at the University of Minnesota, and NWU. Doering had previously traveled to NWU to conduct a workshop on technology transformation in education there. Van der Westhuizen, a professor at NWU, then traveled to Minnesota as a visiting scholar at the LT Media Lab last spring.
Doering and Van der Westhuizen met this week with CEHD dean Jean Quam, CEHD director of international initiatives Chris Johnstone, and Barry Richter, NWU-Potchefstroom’s school director of curriculum-based studies, to sign the new MOU. Doering and LTML look forward to future collaborations with Van der Westhuizen and Richter and the Faculty of Education Sciences at NWU!
