North of Sixty project presented at ArcticNet Annual Scientific Meeting in Halifax, Canada

  |   Updates
The ArcticNet Annual Scientific Meeting is the largest annual Arctic research gathering held in Canada. It brings together leading Arctic researchers from both the natural and social sciences, along with students, industry representatives, and interested community members from the North. Doering and LT PhD candidate Jeni Henrickson were honored to have a paper accepted for presentation at the conference, focused on the North of Sixty project — a project through which they and colleagues at the LT Media Lab collaborated with schools from around the circumpolar Arctic.
The conference took place from December 9-13 in Halifax, NS, Canada. A highlight of the conference was a ceremony to award the Arctic Inspiration Prize, which recognizes and promotes extraordinary contributions made by teams in the gathering of Arctic knowledge and their plans to implement this knowledge to real-world applications.
