Keynote & Workshop Agenda / DR. AARON DOERING / May 25, 2016
EDUCATION, EXPLORATION, AND INNOVATION:
EXPLORING THE NEXUS
Literally from apps to the Arctic to the Amazon, get ready to take a walk inside learning environments that encourage educators and learners to explore, collaborate, and be inspired. In this keynote and workshop, I’ll lead you on a journey toward making a difference in people’s lives and education. Through the lens of contemporary learning environments – designed and developed at the Learning Technologies Media Lab
at the University of Minnesota – I’ll provide an in-depth look at principles I believe spur transformational learning and cultivate community. My goal is to inspire you to integrate these principles into your learning spaces and foster change in the way learners interact and experience knowledge creation and research online.
The workshop will be similar to a design studio, intended for all levels of experience and anyone looking to ignite a fresh perspective on instructional design and the meaningful use of technology in education.
